Do you accept insurance?

Curious Cubs does not bill insurance directly. We provide a detailed monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement. Check your policy for coverage and restrictions.

What should I expect during the evaluation?

A speech and language evaluation includes standardized testing, observation through play or conversation, and a caregiver interview, completed in your home. Initial results are discussed the same day and a written report follows.

How often will my child have speech therapy sessions?

Therapy sessions are typically 1 to 2 times per week for 45 minutes. Shorter sessions may be recommended for toddlers.

Do parents participate in therapy?

Yes. Parents are highly encouraged to participate so they can build a rich language learning environment all day, every day.

How long will my child need speech therapy?

Every child progresses at their own rate. Length depends on the skills being developed, home practice, and family involvement.

Can you talk to my child's teachers or OT, or attend a school meeting?

Yes, when scheduling allows. Collaboration time beyond a quick 10 minute sync is charged at an hourly rate.

Can you observe my child at school?

Yes. School observations help us collaborate with staff, offer classroom recommendations, and tailor goals to real life communication.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 48 hours notice by phone or email. Appointments canceled with less notice, and no shows, are charged in full. Emergencies are considered individually.
