Initial Phone Consultation
A free, 15 minute, no-pressure call to learn about your child, answer your questions, and see if we are the right fit for each other.
Evaluations
We will evaluate your child using industry standard assessments so we can build personalized goals and recommended next steps. Evaluations vary in time depending on caregiver concerns and a child's need. Typically they are completed in 1-2 sessions or 1.5-3 hours. We recommend a reevaluation every 6-12 months to measure progress, set new targets if necessary and/or discuss discharge plans. An evaluation includes a formally written report.
Therapy Sessions
Individualized, play-based speech therapy for articulation, language delays, social communication, and more. Sessions are tailored to fit your child's and family's goals and can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes long. Therapy sessions take place in your home or at your child's school (with director approval) or a combination of both.
Team Calls
Collaboration with teachers, pediatricians, and other therapy providers so everyone supporting your child is on the same page.
Progress Reports
Clear, regular updates on goals, gains, and next steps so you always know how your child is progressing. Progress reports are written every 3-6 months.

You are the expert on your child. We want parents involved in therapy as much as possible. We will coach you in real time about practical strategies so communication growth continues after the session ends.
Katie Laher M.S. CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Katie Laher M.S. CCC-SLP is a certified speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience in pediatric speech and language pathology. She founded Speech SF, a pediatric private practice serving families in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area in 2016. In 2020, she created Speech Teammate, a free online resource library used daily by parents, teachers, and SLPs.
She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of Montana. Katie regularly attends continuing education courses in the field and has advanced training in DIRFloortime, Orton-Gillingham, PROMPT and Hanen It Takes Two to Talk. Her work with young children has always centered on one belief: play is the basis of learning. Katie has a passion for helping toddlers and preschoolers find and use their own voices. Now with three children of her own, based in Bozeman, she brings that same play first, results driven approach to Montana families through Curious Cubs Speech Therapy.
